CARBOVAC process is based on adsorption on activated carbon and regeneration of the carbon by mean of vacuum. This process uses dry screw vacuum pumps in conjunction with a very sophisticated process management system resulting in a system with the availability record, the lowest energy consumption and longest carbon lifetime expectancy.
This technology was developed by the engineers of CARBOVAC specially to overcome several problems: The dry technologies permits to reduce the system to the essential components required for functioning. The vacuum pump used by CARBOVAC is totally dry and causes no pollution of the recovered products, eliminating all corrosion and abrasion problems related to the use of glycol based seal liquid ring vacuum pumps.
The absence of glycol or any other seal fluids and an unlimited deep vacuum level offers the possibility to treat a vast product range (Alcohol, Crude oil, Gasoline, Solvent, Benzene, Methanol, Ethanol...)
A secondary advantage is that the vacuum pumps are equipped with frequency controller and can be fully speed controlled to adapt the capacity to the variable requirements.
The process is fully automated and controlled by PLC. The process parameter are visualised by a PC based supervision system which keeps a record of all the events of interest for the end user.
